For this year’s spooky photo shoot, I set out to create images that evoke powerful emotions. My goal wasn’t just to make the photos “spooky”—I wanted them to feel truly eerie, unsettling, and even a bit creepy. As a horror enthusiast, I understand that “spooky” has a vast spectrum, from mysterious to downright bone-chilling. After careful thought, I decided to capture that feeling of unease and suspense, adding a unique and haunting edge to my work.

I’ve wanted to add a touch of editorial-style photography to my portfolio, and these ghostly shots provided the perfect opportunity. In photography, editorial style refers to images that tell a story, often found in magazines or photo essays, combining creativity with purposeful design to evoke a mood or theme. By blending eerie, unsettling elements with this editorial approach, I aimed to create haunting images that feel like they’re right out of a spooky magazine spread. Each ghost photo tells its own story, designed to chill and captivate while showing a refined, editorial edge.
